coffeeneedsme June 13, 2010 at 5:50 pm: At their core, they are the same. But neither one can make the jump from one field to the other and churn out award-quality work. Both of these fields have very focused skill sets that don’t translate natively into the other, even though some aspects are similar. But, if you have a passion for design and layout, a graphic designer could quickly learn how to make an attractive and usable site using existing composition skills.
