Hey GameFreaque!
The font thing on MAC has always been slightly challenging for me. The program that I have used was called “Suitcase” and it helped to add/organize fonts on the MAC. I would suggest trying that or if you download a template you may need to replace the font in the psd file with the fonts that you currently have on your system.
I apologize that I don’t have a better response for you. However, I would also do a google search for Free MAC fonts and see what you find!

i have Photoshop CS3 on my mac. im not sure how to do the font thing? help plz?

what are you supposed to print with? I don’t think you can print with regular printer paper.
